Why Orbi

A tab OS that stays on your machine.

Orbi replaces New Tab with a calm workspace and adds an on-page dock so your shortcuts and open tabs are always one gesture away.

  • Spaces for context

Work, Personal, Research — switch spaces and restore the tabs that belong there.

  • Dock that learns your rhythm

Pin shortcuts, fold them into folders, reorder by drag — frequency suggestions keep the useful ones close.

  • Tab command center

Search across windows, mute, hibernate idle tabs, and peek live previews without losing your place.

Local-first

No cloud. No tracking stack.

Shortcuts, sessions, wallpapers, and settings live in Chrome’s local extension storage. Export and import JSON when you want a backup — Orbi never requires an account.

On device

Spaces, shortcuts, focus rules, and notes stay in your browser profile.

Transparent permissions

Storage, tabs, and host access exist for previews and icons — explained in the privacy policy.

Yours to move

Full and per-space JSON export/import. Uninstall clears local data.

Deep work

Focus when you need quiet.

Focus mode tucks the dock away, applies allowlists, and runs a timer — toggle with Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+F.
